Muffin Top Challenge



Workout Instructions:

Repeat this circuit 2-3 times and rest for 45 seconds between sets.

Reverse crunches.

Keep your hands and lower back flat on the floor and do all the movements slowly and in a controlled manner, one vertebrae at a time. Expire as you lift the hips off the mat and inspire as you slowly return to the starting position.

Russian twists.

Keep your back straight at all times and twist your torso only from the ribs up. If you are a beginner, keep your heels on the floor and, if you are more advanced, bring your legs up and cross it. Expire as you twist your torso.

Side jackknife.

Lie on your left side on an exercise mat with your legs extended straight downward and the right leg on top of the left. Place your left hand on your abdominal. Place your right hand behind your head. This is your starting position. Raise your right let straight in the air while simultaneously raising your torso, bringing your right elbow toward your right leg. Hold for a moment and then return to the starting position. Repeat for a complete set and then switch sides.

Side planks.

Position your elbow under your shoulder, keep your core engaged, your abs tight and breathe slowly. Your body should form a straight line from your head down to your feet.

Bicycle crunches.

Engage your core muscles, open the elbows and keep your neck relaxed. Expire as you crunch, keep your scapulae off the mat and maintain a steady rhythm throughout the entire workout.
