Neck pain can be very painful and difficult to get rid of. But forget about expensive treatments – all you really need is just a tennis ball.
I and many others have had problems with the neck and the back during periods. It’s not fun at all, and I hardly want to think about how much money I have spent on massage and other things that would make it better. A few things have worked quite well, but it’s expensive in the long run to do treatments continuously.
Luckily, there is an exercise you can do at home that is gentle on your wallet and neck. All you really need is a tennis ball and a floor – this exercise is as good as simple!
1. Place the tennis ball behind your head
Place the tennis ball behind your head. If you have a yoga mat or similar, it will be a bit nicer, but it will work just fine.
2. Lie down on the floor
Make sure to have your knees bent as in the picture.
3. Let the tennis ball and body weight do the job
Take a deep breath, relax, and let the tennis ball sink into your muscles. Then you can move the ball up and down the neck and repeat the exercise. You can also gently move your head to the right and left.
